After my early morning jaunt part way up Mount Marathon, we all boarded the Wild Lander for a four-hour boat ride to Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge. Even though there was a bit of haze in the air, we had nice views of several tidewater glaciers as we headed out of Resurrection Bay, around Aialik Cape, and up into Aialik Bay. We saw amazing sea life on our journey, including orcas, harbor seals, nesting cormorants, sea lions, puffins, and sea otters. And after we checked into our cabins, we ended the day with glacieritas (margaritas made with glacier ice) on the main deck overlooking Pedersen Lagoon.
