After spending the night in Anchorage, we got on the train again in the morning for the short ride to the town of Girdwood, which is the location of the Alyeska Resort. We spent two nights at The Hotel Alyeska and explored the local hiking, including the Winner Creek trail, which features a hand tram, and the climb to the top of the ski mountain, which has a view of the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet.
