On our last day at the lodge, we did a morning canoe-hike combo, where we paddled across Pedersen Lagoon, hiked to Addison Lake, paddled around the lake, then hiked and paddled back. It was a bird extravaganza, with trumpeter swans with two chicks, a goldeneye with chicks, and multiple bald eagles. After lunch, we boarded the Weather or Not for our boat ride back to Seward. Much of trip was quite foggy, but we still got to see mew gulls chasing a bait ball, lazy sea lions, and puffins. And the final leg of our journey was the train ride from Seward back to Anchorage.
