Mount Robson 2023

When we left Yoho NP, we headed north, driving through both Banff and Jasper National Parks, and then back west to spend a few days in Mount Robson Provincial Park. We arrived at our campsite at the Robson River campground near the end of what had clearly been a rainy period, but fortunately the weather kept improving during our stay. The first day we hiked the Berg Lake trail to Kinney Lake backcountry campground. The day started cloudy, but the sun kept trying to break through and we had a few tantalizing glimpses of the elusive Mount Robson. On Sunday we woke up to glorious blue skies and the mountain was out in its full glory. We hiked the Viewpoint Lookout trail for another perspective and then Cato and I continued on to see Overlander Falls.
