On Day 6, we woke to beautiful weather and hoped that Hurricane Rosa was done with us. We headed downstream for a big whitewater day in Ben’s boat and had great runs of Hance and Sockdolager, before getting soaked in Grapevine. We also enjoyed views of the black Vishnu Schist and pink Zoroaster Granite that marked our entry into the Upper Granite Gorge. After an extended lunch stop at Phantom Ranch to exchange four tribe members and send a few postcards, we continued down through Horn Creek and Granite Rapids before stopping at Hermit camp for the night.
