On Day 2, we had mostly grey skies, but no rain, as we left Soap Creek and headed down a really fun stretch of the river. House Rock was our first really big rapid, to be followed by a succession of fun whitewater in the Roaring 20s. We got a great wash in Tiger Wash before stopping for the day at Sand Pile.
- We ran Soap Creek Rapid right out of camp
- You never get tired of looking at cool rock formations
- Denice Napoletano rowing one of our baggage boats
- The first rapid we stopped to scout – House Rock
- Scouting time for the crew
- Joelle getting ready to pull into House Rock
- The fun part!
- You can really see the drop at the start of this rapid, somewhere in the Roaring 20s
- Don Crum gets a chance to row
- Pulling into camp at Sand Pile
- Room with a view
- Another great sunset
