Grizzly bears and snow played a prominent role in our Glacier adventures this summer. Paula saw a large male grizzly when she climbed Mount Siyeh, and we had a close encounter with a mom and her two cubs on the Northern Highline trail. We also got snowed on during hikes in July, August, and September. And despite there being a number of fires in Glacier in late summer, we managed to accomplish all of our planned trips, including backpacking trips to Quartz Lake and Fifty Mountain campground and multi-night stays at both Granite Park and Sperry Chalets.
